We hope you had an enjoyable and
relaxing summer and we would like to welcome you to a new season with Neighbors
& Newcomers! We are committed to providing a forum for
new residents to become acclimated to our town, existing residents to reach
out and expand their network and to foster a strong sense of pride and
community.
We recognize the
contribution that our local businesses make to our community; therefore, we
will continue to work with them throughout the year.
Due to our fundraising
efforts we have been able to donate to our local fire dept., first aid squad,
library, food pantry, local families in need, and also present our high school graduating
students with scholarships.
In these
challenging times our efforts and contributions are needed more than ever. As we continue to strive to make our
group worthwhile to fit our busy schedules, this year will be marked with many fun
activities, community service opportunities and other fresh ideas for the
upcoming year. There are also many
events being planned for couples and families. We have also expanded our Activities/Clubs to suit almost everyone’s
hobby/interest and time schedule. Check

will be held. You might even want to
be daring and create your own club! Let us know!
We will continue holding monthly club
meetings at various locations for all members, giving us a chance to meet on a
regular basis. We are currently working
on bringing different speakers and demonstrations that will add a little
something to our mornings. Coffee mornings give us the opportunity to learn
about the club, renew your membership and sign up for all the events that we
have planned. Food and beverages will
be provided with special activities for the kids – so children are welcome! Please bring a friend or neighbor/new or
lifetime resident or any who might be interested in joining the
association.
We are currently working on trying to
accommodate working parents enabling them to attend evening meetings and different
social events been predominately attended by a stay-at-home parent. We welcome any new ideas and hopefully
incorporate them into the upcoming year.
Remember our membership cost is $25 (or $50 for 2 years). The deadline for renewing membership is
October 31. We need to keep
our commitment to get the Member Directory distributed by mid-October. Subsequently on Nov. 1, membership
will increase to $30. \
